"Сабатон" – скандинавската пауър метъл банда, хедлайнери на Hills Of Rock 2022, изпълни свое обещане от 2009 г. - да напишe песен за България.

Песента "Долината на смъртта" е част от новия им албум "Войната, която ще сложи край на всички войни", който излезе днес.

"Българското" парче е девето и е посветено на Дойранската епопея. 

Ето как разказва за събитията оттогава екипът на "Българска история":

"Още през зимата на 1915 година, Втора пехотна тракийска дивизия разбива 10-та английска. В бягството си към Солун оцелелите англичани захвърлят не само оръдия, картечници и обози, но и личното си оръжие. Българите заемат граничните височини и започва изграждането на дойранските позиции. Едва към лятото на 1916 година към тях ще се придвижат части на френската и английската армия, прииждащи в Солун по море. Първият щурм на Антантата започва на 9 август 1916 година. Мощната артилерийска подготовка на враговете цели да проправи пътя на три френски дивизии, които тръгват на атака срещу родните позиции. Главният удар е насочен срещу височината Дуб. Българската артилерия обаче открива бесен преграден огън и сериозно разстройва атакуващите вълни още в пунктовете на съсредоточаване. Българските картечни роти помитат французите на стотина метра от окопите. "
